When must your rentals be registered?

Landlords of homes let on a tenancy in England (not holiday lets) must register each home on the government’s new landlord database, one region at a time. Type a postcode to see when.

What landlords will need

  • The landlord’s own details and a GOV.UK One Login
  • Address, ownership and property type, bedrooms, furnishing
  • How many people and households live there, and any licence
  • Rent, how often it’s paid, whether bills are included
  • Gas safety record
  • Electrical safety report (EICR)
  • Energy certificate (EPC) where required

Every region
